With altered.gg’s user-facing platform shutting down on May 20, 2026, we’re coordinating with several community developers and the Re:Union team to help you preserve what you’ve built — your decks, and as much of your collection as possible. This article covers what you can and should do today, and where we are on the harder question of card digital ownership. This is a difficult situation that many players feel deeply about, and we’re doing everything we can to help.

Altered Re:Union incorporated as a nonprofit association under French loi 1901 as a major step toward supporting the game going forward as Equinox winds down operations. Building a nonprofit association allows the team to act as a recognized legal entity and enter into agreements, as well as hold and manage assets. As Equinox winds down its services May 20, Altered Re:Union will be working with Board Game Arena to keep online play available with full access to all commons and rares for all playe

We need to share with all of our plans between now and May 20th, the announced date for the end of Altered services.

A lot of volunteers are giving their time to make this transition as smooth as possible. We are aware that the current state of the project can be hard to follow and opaque to many of you and we want to present the state of things at this date. We are making good progress and here is the first reporting of the project advancement and initial goals.
