Join our BGA Roots of Corruption Sealed Deck tournaments
Discover the new Roots of Corruption set with the RoC Sealed Deck Tournaments, a new way to play sealed in Board Game Arena. This set of tournaments, running Aug. 14-16, brings the feeling of the local game store prerelease event to BGA as we celebrate the launch of the new set.
We’re running multiple tournaments through the weekend to give players in timezones all over the world the chance to try out this new gameplay style. We have one tournament on Friday, three on Saturday and another three on Sunday.
Build the best deck you can with limited cards and show your skill in these tournaments!
- Date:
- The tournament starting time is the beginning of the games. You should build your deck before that (we recommend 1 hour before, but you can do more or less if you want).

Open invite, each capped at 128 players

Tournament format: Real-time

Tournament type: 6 rounds of Swiss, no top cut

Tournament duration: 3 hours plus deckbuilding prior

Prize support: Two random RoC digital uniques per player that plays at least three rounds; two additional random RoC digital uniques for playing all six rounds. As with the previous tournaments, these uniques will be provided as we complete a few more features within the site.
At least an hour before the tournament begins, please take two steps:
- Register for the tournaments you’d like to participate in on BGA.
- Go to Altered Draft to see your card pool and build your deck. It will then be automatically used by BGA when you join the tournament.
- You will be able to change your deck from one game to another. Just click here to do so.
- The moment you enter your first match, you'll be able to prepare for the next tournament with a new pool from here. So you can do several sealed events through the weekend.
If you join at the last minute, it’s not a major issue! The system will build a random deck for you from your allotted cards, and you can enter the deckbuilder to change it for your next match.

These tournaments will officially lead us into the start of the RoC organized play season, beginning Aug. 17. Once we finish these tournaments, we’ll share details about what comes next!
