A huge flock of 290 Woollyback plushes have found their way into our world from Asgartha, and Re:Union needs your help to find them new homes with the players. Our new Adopt a Woollyback campaign beginning Oct. 21 includes contests, a new community-created Woollyback adoption kit and three brand-new, exclusive alternate art tokens designed by Sweorkie, Karifur and GabrielBargiel. Getting involved gives you the chance to bring one of these long-lost Woollybacks home for free in our weekly contest drawing!
This is Re:Union’s first original product launch, fan content created exclusively by Altered community artists and skilled designers who donated their work to Re:Union to support the future of the game. It was developed by more than 20 volunteers who gave countless hours over the last four months.
The Adopt a Woollyback campaign is the result of Re:Union’s partnership with Equinox, bringing these last 290 plushes to the community. The campaign will start with a month-long contest where players can participate in community activities like playing a game on BGA, participating in a special Woollyback tournament, finding clues or spreading the word about Altered and Re:Union to earn entries for the chance to win one of 40 premium adoption kits. The more you participate, the more entries you get. Entries max out at 20 per person, but they last all month and all entries are free.
Each week, we’ll draw entries to give away 10 premium adoption kits with a Woollyback plush going along with it!
Once the contest wraps up and the first 40 Woollybacks find their new home, the community store opens. Every purchase goes directly back into the game through Re:Union. This campaign will raise funds to pay for artist commissions for new art, cover infrastructure costs and take us closer to the creation of Set 8, the first Re:Union-branded set.
Each kit starts with a Woollyback plush as a free gift, and includes three limited edition brand-new Woollyback token cards, created by community-favorite artists. The tokens tell a story of a hard-working Woollyback artist and how the art they create takes on a life of its own. You’ll receive them both physically and digitally, meaning you’ll be able to show off your Re:Union support no matter where you play. It also includes a serialized adoption certification with the custom name you give your Woollyback, illustrated by Re:Union artist JH_withdaGoats.
She also illustrated nine new Woollyback stories that follow their adventures through the modern world in a commemorative Woollyback magazine that’s part of the Deluxe Kit. The magazine features Woollyback history, facts, activities and games. It also has interviews with the original creators of the Woollyback. The whole team came together to design a special Woollyback Sticker Pack included there, as well as all three token cards done in foil treatment by Sweorkie herself.
The Premium Kit adds a set of three serialized foiled token cards, each 1:1. No one else will have this fully unique, exclusive token.
You can also add on to your adoption kit or purchase items like the token sets, magazines and sticker packs separately.
