Equinox <-> Re:Union meeting report: April 23 2026

Points discussed during the Equinox Re:Union meeting:

• Equinox wishes to best support the community and in particular Altered Re:Union to ensure the future of the game.
• Accelerated timeline: the next 2 weeks will be crucial in terms of communication between Re:Union and Equinox.
• Presentation of the Re:Union project and its ideas/ambitions.
• Discussions around the possibilities left by Equinox to Re:Union regarding use of the license, as well as values to be preserved (prohibition on using AI for illustrations).
• Equinox will broadly update its fan-created content charter.
• The charter will specify that it is not possible to generate financial revenue using the Altered license without going through a prior validation agreement with Equinox, for legal reasons that associate the Altered IP with any sale making use of its name.
• Equinox leaves it to the community to decide on the future ownership of uniques. In order to leave no door closed, the data transmitted will allow all avenues to continue to be explored.
• Discussions are still ongoing with a provider regarding the Pod for current (sets 1 to 6) and future sets. Equinox will communicate on this topic once all negotiations have progressed.
• Equinox recommends that the Altered Re:Union team create an association (non-profit entity) to facilitate future exchanges and enable certain forms of partnerships.
• The handover on the BGA side is currently being discussed but is on track.
• Regarding lore/worldbuilding/continuity, Yoshi is keeping part of what had already been planned, but will provide us with a common foundation to build upon.
• Yoshi will progressively become the sole point of contact for all questions and requests related to Altered, particularly regarding use of the license.
