Call to Community : Logo Contest: April 9 2026
Contest Details
Altered Re:Union is here, and we want to celebrate and rally together as a community. Every movement worth believing in deserves a strong visual identity.
While the development team works to bring the digital infrastructure to life, we’re opening the door for artists in our community to leave their mark on Altered Re:Union. @mtross started this idea and we’re opening up the invitation: Anyone can participate and help define how this project presents itself to the world.
This icon will be the main visual identity of Altered Re:Union, appearing on the Discord server, the website, and future community products as the project grows.
What We’re Looking For
A standalone icon: no text, no wordmark, just an image that carries meaning on its own. Think of it like the iconic swirl that defined Altered TCG’s visual identity; something that speaks for itself.
This is not the end of Altered, it’s the next chapter. The icon should feel like something continuing, not ending. The community is picking up the torch, carrying the lore, the art, and the game forward.
Your icon may echo (but is not limited to):
- The legacy of Equinox: Honouring what was built
- The force of the community: Many hands, shared roots, collective effort
- The values of Altered: What the game stands for
- The lore of Altered: the beautiful and vibrant world we’ve come to love
We’re not prescribing a specific metaphor. These are starting points. Surprise us!
Format & Technical Requirements
Shape & Size
- Icon can be any shape but should fit well into a square 1:1 ratio:
- Must read clearly as a Discord avatar (32×32px) and scale up for print
- Avoid fine details or thin lines that disappear at small sizes
Files
- Vector format (SVG or Adobe Illustrator):
- Print color model: CMYK
- Also include a PNG export (minimum 1000×1000px, transparent background)
Variations
- Submit two full color versions for voting
- Submit a solid black and solid white version (See Sample Altered Icons below)
Originality
- Must be your own original work: no AI-generated submissions, no tracing or direct derivatives of Altered TCG’s existing assets
Judging Criteria
Submissions will go to a community vote. We’ll be looking at:
- Readability at small size: Does it hold up as an avatar?
- Emotional resonance: Does it feel like it belongs to something meaningful?
- Originality: A fresh idea, not something we’ve seen before
- Versatility: Works across backgrounds and use cases
- Craft: Cleanly and intentionally executed
How to Submit
Post you submission in the #🎨│art channel on Discord before April 19th. Be sure to tag @.skeletonjoke or @magnus770 . All submissions will be reposted on #logo-contest.
Include:
- Your icon files (vector + PNG)
- A brief note (2–4 sentences) explaining your concept: what does the mark mean, and why did you make the choices you made?
One submission per participant.
After the deadline, the community votes. The winning icon becomes the face of Altered Re:Union.
