Join these BGA Roots of Corruption tournaments for Woollybacks and digital prizes
The Roots of Corruption set will be going live on Board Game Arena beginning Aug. 17, and Altered Re:Union is planning three tournament events to celebrate our heroes facing the darkness! We’re excited to bring this set to online play, accomplishing one of our major goals from our recent Roadmap. Check our Events page for more information on how to register for these tournaments starting July 29 or look for news in our Discord server!
We’re excited to begin offering digital prizes for BGA tournaments! Participating in each of these three tournaments will get players a few ROC uniques for digital ownership, with more each time they advance past a cut. We’re still working on the details of providing the uniques to players, but we’ll have more information soon! Push for victory and show off your rewards!
Woollyback plushes are also up for rescue in the Seeds of Unity season finale! These small, fluffy friends come straight to the Altered Re:Union team from Equinox, and we’re thrilled that they’re helping us celebrate the end of the competitive season. If you missed getting a Woollyback plush during the earlier drives, don’t miss your chance now!
The top two players in the ROC Sealed Deck Tournament will also receive a physical signed Woollyback token from community artists like Sweorkie, GabrielBargiel or Karifur!
Players in the ROC Demo Deck Tournament have the chance to win the opportunity to help develop the starter decks for the three new heroes joining the fight as well! Make your mark by helping build the preconstructed decks for Gretel, Yeong-Gi and Sam.
In addition, the Top 4 players from the Seeds of Unity season finale will receive an invite to the next Altered Worlds Championship event, along with the four winners from the Skybound Odyssey season finale! We’ll have more details on our plans for that in the future as well.
The update to BGA opens all cards from Roots of Corruption to be included in decks, including commons, rares, exalteds and uniques. Players can already build decklists in the Re:Union deckbuilder just to be ready for their first matches with the new set.
At the same time, we’re closing out the Seeds of Unity organized play season with a big finale. Check out the details below for these three events!
The first two events will be broadcast through our creator partners, so join in even if you aren’t participating to see who walks away with a rescued Woollyback!
These tournaments wouldn’t be possible without the tireless efforts of the Re:Union BGA dev team and playtesters. We’d like to give a special shout-out to Taum, Blazboy, Nyleirel and noobiwow as well as the playtesting team. We also want to call out GabrielBargiel, mtross, codeinepusheen, keldofus, fragileclick, gnomeschool and BamBamBam. Our community is always working hard to help us reach new heights!
Take your first chance to play the RoC decklists with a special tournament built around the starter decks meant to show off the set’s new mechanics and heroes.

These tournaments and developing online organized play are all further steps along our Roadmap, and we’re doing our best to keep reaching new milestones as quickly as possible.
